Answer: Thank you for your question, but as you are probably aware, I need to know if you mean an African or European swallow to be able to answer your question. Please let me know and thanks for asking, Larry

Question: There is a high pitched squealing noise that goes away when I hit the brakes on my 1995 Blazer. What do you think I need??
- Arlo W.
Answer: It sounds as if the brake indicators are hitting. You need a brake inspection soon, before damage to the brake rotors happens. It is never a good idea to put off repairs, it usually ends up costing more.

Question: My 1991 Celica GT stumbles and stalls while sitting at a stop, but not all the time. The dealer has done tune ups, fuel injector cleaning and replaced the EGR valve but it still does the same thing. Any ideas?
- Brandie H.
Answer: Because the problem only happens at idle, we must concentrate on anything that can have an effect on idle without affecting operation at higher speeds. This would include such areas as open EGR, vacuum leaks, malfunctioning idle air control and engine failures such as a sticking valve. Check for vacuum leaks (including the PCV system). As this is an erratic problem that even the dealer has failed to repair, you should plan to leave the vehicle with us for a thorough diagnosis.
