Question: My 1994 mercury tracer wagon has the driver\'s side shoulder belt that automatically moves into position acting up. When I get in the car and start it will not come to the rear positon until maybe a mile or two of driving and sometimes not at all. When it does get to the correct position periodically it will move a tiny bit as if it wants to go back to the off position. It seems as if maybe it isn\'t getting enough electricity to run it. Any ideas?

Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The seat belt mechanism on your vehicle is controlled by a computer module, a a series of sensors and a switches. It may need the module replaced or the complete assembly, but it would need to be tested to know which. Any competent repair shop or the dealer can do this type of repair. Thank you.

Question: my car looks like its leaking oil but my toyota only has 36,000 miles on it i am afraid to bring it to the toyota dealership because they have given me the run around before plus its a shame how toyota charges unfair labor on there parts what should i do

Answer: Jonathon, thanks for your question. Leaks are sometimes hard to find. Usually it entails cleaning off the old residue then adding a dye to the oil that is visible with a black light. The engine is then run for a period of time and the leak can be acurately diagnoised. Occasionally a leak is repaired and a new leak may occur at the next "weakest" area of the system. Unfortunatley, some repairs can be expensive. If you are still under warranty, you should go back to the dealer. If not, we, or any reputable repair facility can make the necessary repairs. Thanks again for your question.

Question: Why is oil in antifreeze radiator? I requested a clean and replace antifreeze but a serviceman refused because of oil in it. Oil is leaking into water system in unknown location. Need your advice about repair or replace engine. 2001 Buick Century Custom 3100 engine V6.

Answer: Thanks for your inquiry. The problem depends on the color of the oil in the
cooling system. If it is reddish (like a strawberry milkshake) it may be a
transmission cooler leaking. If it is a brownish color (like a chocolate
milkshake) it is probably a head gasket leak. This is much more serious.
Either problem should be attended to as soon as possible to avoid further
damage to your engine. Feel free to call us for more information.
